Thanks to the help of Google Earth, the three scientists of Finland Martti P?rssinen, Denise Schaan and Alceu Ranzi, it seems that lucky to find El Dorado. Through the journal Antiquity, they publish more than 200 signs on the ground in the Amazon.

The scientists believe the forms found in the Google Earth that, were the remnants of El Dorado in the form of roads, bridges and so on. The size of the findings led to the approximate area that formerly occupied the El Dorado and 60,000 inhabitants.

David Grann, author of books about the lost city also believes the importance of these findings can not be underestimated. Of course, further exploration is needed to follow up.

“For centuries, scientists assumed that the city in the forest is a kind of death trap, where only a small primitive tribe that existed,” he explained. “However, these findings indicate that the Amazon has become the home of a great civilization.”
